allspice

In 2023, AllSpice attended PCB West, a leading engineering conference. As part of their presence, I designed a full suite of assets—flyers, business cards, and branded merchandise. Each piece was crafted to reflect AllSpice’s engineering roots while bringing visual clarity and cohesion across every touchpoint.

DESIGN PROCESS

Designing for PCB West was a highly collaborative effort. I worked closely with AllSpice’s CEO, Valentina, and Director of Marketing, Robert, to understand their vision and ensure each asset felt true to the brand. We explored past materials, reviewed the existing design system, and analyzed market competitors to pinpoint what stood out and what didn't. These conversations shaped the direction of the final assets and ensured they spoke clearly to our target audience of engineers.

Below is the vision board that helped guide our design decisions.

DESIGN MERCHANDISE OVERVIEW

For the merchandise, I focused on creating clean, tech-forward visuals that would stand out in a busy conference environment. Using Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva, I applied AllSpice’s color palette of deep navy, mustard yellow, soft white, and charcoal black across T-shirts, coasters, stickers, business cards, and flyers. I kept layouts bold yet minimal—letting iconography, crisp typography, and subtle accent elements do the heavy lifting. The result was a merch set that felt unified, high-energy, and distinctly AllSpice.

MERCHANDISE IN THE WILD

While I don’t have photos from PCB West 2023, the images below are from AllSpice’s 2024 conference appearances and show some of the assets I designed, like select T-shirts and stickers, being used in the wild. It’s incredibly cool to see my work continue to live on across different events.

PROJECT REFLECTION

This was one of the most rewarding and meaningful projects of my internship. It challenged me to think holistically about branding—how a logo, a flyer, or even a sticker can all communicate the same message when designed with intention. Working closely with leadership taught me how to navigate feedback, manage shifting priorities, and stay grounded in brand strategy even under tight timelines. I was juggling a wide range of deliverables, but seeing everything come to life at PCB West, on shirts, coasters, flyers, and more, made it all worth it. It was the kind of hands-on, high-impact project that reminded me why I love doing this work.
